ALFA Community Rules: All play is "In Character" (IC). Communication Out of Character should be done via private "tells" or if necessary, bracketed with double parenthesis. ((Have to log out now, see you tomorrow night)) etc. One PC only. You may "retire" a PC to start a new one, but the old PC must not be returned to. Only one character is allowed for the entire Persistent World, as you can travel between the servers. ALFA is a Permadeath World. No "respawn" option, though Raise Dead and other similar magics exist. Character vs Character Combat. ALFA is a full CvC environment. Please make a reasonable effort to make sure a DM is able to oversee any CvC events. Make sure all CvCs are kept In Character. If no DM is in attendance, notify a DM immediately afterwards. No Powergaming. Powergaming is the blatant pursuit of experience points (XP) or wealth (either in gold or in items) at the expense of roleplaying. No Metagaming. Metagaming is gaming that transcends the game. This involves taking advantage of knowledge you possess as a player, which would not be known to your PC (weaknesses of obscure monsters you read about in a sourcebook, secrets of how to succeed at static quests you have completed with past PCs, information gleaned from Library stories, et. cetera). DM's Word. DMs are the arbitrators of the game. Please accept their word. PG-13 Environment. ALFA is considered a "PG-13" environment. Please respect this. Should you wish to play out anything which does not fit this, make sure you seek consent from all involved. Harassment. Harassment of any players, DMs, or Administrators is not tolerated. No Cheating. Cheating is actively exploiting any bug or shortcoming in the game mechanics. Do not loot your own corpse! The bodies of your previous PC(s) are off limits. ALFA Rulebook.
